Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is a self-teaching and self-learning aid of the Qur’an based on modern media platforms. It encompasses all essential aspects of Qur’anic knowledge which is obligated to every Muslim. Its usage also extends to the conventional Qur’an schools as an aid to more efficient and richer learning experience. reducing learning cycle, increasing teaching capacity, and enhancing pupils’ knowledge of the Qur’an from just being learning to recite and memorize the Qur’an to understanding the recitation (tajweed) rules, meanings of the Qur’an, and the language of the Qur’an.

Development plan

The website www.mualim-alquran.com is the first stage of the development of Mu’alim Al-Qur’an. This first stage is a web-based solution that is accessible online for free through any internet appliance like a PC/Laptop (Mac or Windows), tablets (Apple or Android) and mobile phones (iPhone or Android). In all the appliances, the screen of this web-based Mu’alim Al-Qur’an adjusts perfectly and automatically to suit the appliance’s resolution.

In the second stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a downloadable mobile application on both iPhone and Android platforms. This mobile app will be accessible offline and will enable users to access all the functionalities and content of the Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need to be online through WiFi or mobile data connectivity.

In the third stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a built-in app in a dedicated branded tablet with all its functionalities and content, thus enabling its accessibility without the need of internet connectivity. Furthermore, the tablet will be equipped with a solar charger which will allow users to access Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need of external electricity supply.

Target Audience

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is primarily intended for non-Arabic speaking Muslims who speak any of the following languages. Swahili, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The application is equally useful in self-teaching and self-learning of the Qur’an for any speakers of these languages.

Scope

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an includes the following six learning modules: (1) Foundation of Arabic alphabets, letters, and words based on standard Qaida Al-Noorania. (2) Recitation of the Qur’an word-by-word and verse-by-verse. (3) Rules of Tajweed in recitation. (4) Memorization of the Qur’an based on the standard memorization methodology of repetition and tracking progress. (5) The meaning of the Qur’an through translations. and (6) Arabic as the language of the Qur’an.

User’s Engagement

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an allows users to access the application for free through the browsers or mobile application in phones or tablets. The users have a choice to use the application anonymously without tracking their progress or by logging in with an email address and a password to keep track of their progress within a particular stage or between stages. Verbs with a hamza as one of their Radicals

Here are the basic rules for the spelling of hamza.
  1. hamza bearer is alif at word's beginning.
  2. hamza bearer's precedence is determined by precedence of kasra, damma, fatha, with sukun having no precedence.
    • if there is a kasra in either place, the bearer is ya without dots.
    • Bearer is waw if no kasra but there is a damma present.
    • if neither kasra nor damma occur, the bearer will be an alif.
  3. Hamza lacks bearer after long vowel.
    • if it is the final letter.
    • if the vowel following the hamza is fatha.
  4. Other Hamza bearer's position are determined by vowel after long vowel.

  1. hamza followed by a is written alif madda.
  2. fatha, followed by hamza plus sukun, forms madda.
  3. Prosthetic kasra + hamza + sukun forms أي and prosthetic damma + hamza + sukun forms اُو.
  4. imperfect third radical hamza verbs have alif as bearer. Eg . يَقْرَأُ
  5. Masdar of 2nd form third-radical hamza verbs follows taf'ilatun pattern. Eg. tabri'atun.
Vocabulary includes verbs with hamza radicals, sound letters, and active participles.
ADVERBS IN -u
Arabic has a genuine adverbial ending, final damma, found in nouns with prepositional forms like qabla, ba'da, tahta, and fawqa, with invariable forms like 'beforehand'.

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
Watakabiliana wao kwa wao kuulizana.
يَوْمَ نَدْعُوا۟ كُلَّ أُنَاسٍۭ بِإِمَـٰمِهِمْ ۖ فَمَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَـٰبَهُمْ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا
Siku tutapo waita kila kikundi cha watu kwa mujibu wa wakifuatacho - basi atakaye pewa kitabu chake kwa mkono wake wa kulia, basi hao watasoma kitabu chao wala hawatadhulumiwa hata chembe.
فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Na akawasomea, wasingeli kuwa wenye kuamini.
يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَرَضِىَ لَهُۥ قَوْلًا
Siku hiyo uombezi haufai kitu, ila wa aliye mruhusu Arrahmani Mwingi wa Rehema na akamridhia kusema.
فَلَمَّا ٱسْتَيْـَٔسُوا۟ مِنْهُ خَلَصُوا۟ نَجِيًّا ۖ قَالَ كَبِيرُهُمْ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ أَبَاكُمْ قَدْ أَخَذَ عَلَيْكُم مَّوْثِقًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ مَا فَرَّطتُمْ فِى يُوسُفَ ۖ فَلَنْ أَبْرَحَ ٱلْأَرْضَ حَتَّىٰ يَأْذَنَ لِىٓ أَبِىٓ أَوْ يَحْكُمَ ٱللَّهُ لِى ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ
Walipo kata tamaa naye wakenda kando kunong'ona. Mkubwa wao akasema: Je! Hamjui ya kwamba baba yenu amechukua ahadi kwenu kutokana na Mwenyezi Mungu, na kabla ya hapo mlimkosa katika agano lenu juu ya Yusuf? Basi mimi sitotoka nchi hii mpaka baba yangu anipe ruhusa au Mwenyezi Mungu anihukumie. Na Yeye ndiye Mbora wa mahakimu.
وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِى عَنِّى فَإِنِّى قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لِى وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ
Na waja wangu watakapo kuuliza khabari zangu, waambie kuwa Mimi nipo karibu. Naitikia maombi ya mwombaji anapo niomba. Basi na waniitikie Mimi, na waniamini Mimi, ili wapate kuongoka.
يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Wanauliza: Ni lini hiyo siku ya malipo?
يَسْـَٔلُكَ ٱلنَّاسُ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرِيبًا
Watu wanakuuliza khabari ya Saa (ya Kiyama). Sema: Ujuzi wake uko kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na nini kitakujuvya? Pengine hiyo Saa iko karibu.
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَفْقَهُونَ
Na Yeye ndiye aliye kuzalisheni kutokana na nafsi moja. Pako pahali pa kutulia na pa kupita njia. Hakika tumezichambua Ishara hizi kwa watu wanao fahamu.
ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ
Ni nyinyi mlio uumba mti wake au Sisi ndio Waumbaji?
ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا ءَاخَرِينَ
Kisha tukaleta baada yao vizazi vingine.
وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرْضِيًّا
Na alikuwa akiwaamrisha watu wake Sala na Zaka, na alikuwa mbele ya Mola wake Mlezi mwenye kuridhiwa.
ءَامَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ ۚ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
Mtume ameamini yaliyo teremshwa kwake kutoka kwa Mola Mlezi wake, na Waumini vile vile. Wote wamemuamini Mwenyezi Mungu, na Malaika wake, na Vitabu vyake na Mitume wake. Hatutafautishi baina ya yeyote katika Mitume wake, na (Waumini) husema: Tumesikia na tumet'ii. Tunakutaka maghfira Mola Mlezi wetu! Na marejeo ni kwako.
فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَـٰبِدُونَ
Wakasema: Je, tuwaamini wanaadamu wawili hawa kama sisi, na ambao watu wao ni watumwa wetu?
وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم بَنِينَ وَحَفَدَةً وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ ۚ أَفَبِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ هُمْ يَكْفُرُونَ
Na Mwenyezi Mungu amekuumbieni wake katika jinsi yenu, na akakujaalieni kutoka kwa wake zenu wana na wajukuu, na akakuruzukuni vitu vizuri vizuri. Basi je, wanaamini upotovu na wanazikataa neema za Mwenyezi Mungu?
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
Lakini nyinyi mnakhiari maisha ya dunia!
قَالُوا۟ تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدْ ءَاثَرَكَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَإِن كُنَّا لَخَـٰطِـِٔينَ
Wakasema: Wallahi! Mwenyezi Mungu amekufadhilisha wewe kuliko sisi, na hakika sisi tulikuwa wenye kukosa.
قَالَ يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُ أَنۢبِئْهُم بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَنۢبَأَهُم بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ
Akasema: Ewe Adam! Waambie majina yake. Basi alipo waambia majina yake alisema: Sikukwambieni kwamba Mimi ninajua siri za mbinguni na za duniani, na ninayajua mnayo yadhihirisha na mliyo kuwa mnayaficha?
وَلَا تَسُبُّوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَدْوًۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
Wala msiwatukane hao wanao waomba badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu, wasije na wao wakamtukana Mwenyezi Mungu kwa jeuri bila ya kujua. Namna hivyo tumewapambia kila umma vitendo vyao. Kisha marejeo yao yatakuwa kwa Mola wao Mlezi, naye atawaambia waliyo kuwa wakiyatenda.
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَـٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Nao, badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu, wanaabudu wasio wadhuru wala kuwanufaisha, na wanasema: Hawa ndio waombezi wetu kwa Mwenyezi Mungu! Sema: Je! Mnamwambia Mwenyezi Mungu asiyo yajua ya katika mbingu wala katika ardhi? Subhanahu wa Taa'la! Ametakasika na ametukuka na hao wanao mshirikisha naye.
وَإِذْ أَسَرَّ ٱلنَّبِىُّ إِلَىٰ بَعْضِ أَزْوَٰجِهِۦ حَدِيثًا فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَتْ بِهِۦ وَأَظْهَرَهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَرَّفَ بَعْضَهُۥ وَأَعْرَضَ عَنۢ بَعْضٍ ۖ فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَهَا بِهِۦ قَالَتْ مَنْ أَنۢبَأَكَ هَـٰذَا ۖ قَالَ نَبَّأَنِىَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ
Na Nabii alipo mwambia mmoja wa wake zake jambo la siri. Basi alipo litangaza yule mke, na Mwenyezi Mungu akamdhihirishia Mtume, alimjuvya sehemu na akaacha sehemu nyengine. Alipo mwambia hayo, huyo mke akasema: Nani aliye kwambia haya? Mtume akasema: Kaniambia Mjuzi Mwenye khabari zote!
فَإِن رَّجَعَكَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَىٰ طَآئِفَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ فَٱسْتَـْٔذَنُوكَ لِلْخُرُوجِ فَقُل لَّن تَخْرُجُوا۟ مَعِىَ أَبَدًا وَلَن تُقَـٰتِلُوا۟ مَعِىَ عَدُوًّا ۖ إِنَّكُمْ رَضِيتُم بِٱلْقُعُودِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَٱقْعُدُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْخَـٰلِفِينَ
Basi Mwenyezi Mungu akikurudisha kwenye kikundi kimoja miongoni mwao - na wakakutaka idhini ya kutoka - sema: Nyinyi hamtatoka pamoja nami kabisa, wala hamtapigana na adui pamoja nami. Nyinyi mliridhia kukaa nyuma mara ya kwanza, basi kaeni pamoja na hao watakao bakia nyuma.
إِذْ رَءَا نَارًا فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا لَّعَلِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوْ أَجِدُ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ هُدًى
Alipo uona moto, akawaambia watu wake: Ngojeni! Mimi nimeuona moto, huenda nikakuleteeni kijinga kutoka huo moto, au nikapata uongofu kwenye moto.
وَرَسُولًا إِلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنِّى قَدْ جِئْتُكُم بِـَٔايَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ أَنِّىٓ أَخْلُقُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ فَأَنفُخُ فِيهِ فَيَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَأُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ وَأُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا تَأْكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِى بُيُوتِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Na ni Mtume kwa Wana wa Israili kuwaambia: Mimi nimekujieni na Ishara kutoka kwa Mola Mlezi wenu, ya kwamba nakuundieni kwa udongo kama sura ya ndege. Kisha nampuliza anakuwa ndege kwa idhini ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na ninawaponesha vipofu wa tangu kuzaliwa na wakoma, na ninawafufua maiti kwa idhini ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na ninakwambieni mnacho kila na mnacho weka akiba katika nyumba zenu. Hakika katika haya ipo Ishara kwenu ikiwi nyinyi ni wenye kuamini.
