Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is a self-teaching and self-learning aid of the Qur’an based on modern media platforms. It encompasses all essential aspects of Qur’anic knowledge which is obligated to every Muslim. Its usage also extends to the conventional Qur’an schools as an aid to more efficient and richer learning experience. reducing learning cycle, increasing teaching capacity, and enhancing pupils’ knowledge of the Qur’an from just being learning to recite and memorize the Qur’an to understanding the recitation (tajweed) rules, meanings of the Qur’an, and the language of the Qur’an.

Development plan

The website www.mualim-alquran.com is the first stage of the development of Mu’alim Al-Qur’an. This first stage is a web-based solution that is accessible online for free through any internet appliance like a PC/Laptop (Mac or Windows), tablets (Apple or Android) and mobile phones (iPhone or Android). In all the appliances, the screen of this web-based Mu’alim Al-Qur’an adjusts perfectly and automatically to suit the appliance’s resolution.

In the second stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a downloadable mobile application on both iPhone and Android platforms. This mobile app will be accessible offline and will enable users to access all the functionalities and content of the Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need to be online through WiFi or mobile data connectivity.

In the third stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a built-in app in a dedicated branded tablet with all its functionalities and content, thus enabling its accessibility without the need of internet connectivity. Furthermore, the tablet will be equipped with a solar charger which will allow users to access Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need of external electricity supply.

Target Audience

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is primarily intended for non-Arabic speaking Muslims who speak any of the following languages. Swahili, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The application is equally useful in self-teaching and self-learning of the Qur’an for any speakers of these languages.

Scope

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an includes the following six learning modules: (1) Foundation of Arabic alphabets, letters, and words based on standard Qaida Al-Noorania. (2) Recitation of the Qur’an word-by-word and verse-by-verse. (3) Rules of Tajweed in recitation. (4) Memorization of the Qur’an based on the standard memorization methodology of repetition and tracking progress. (5) The meaning of the Qur’an through translations. and (6) Arabic as the language of the Qur’an.

User’s Engagement

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an allows users to access the application for free through the browsers or mobile application in phones or tablets. The users have a choice to use the application anonymously without tracking their progress or by logging in with an email address and a password to keep track of their progress within a particular stage or between stages. Lesson 7 explains that the second element of an idafa can be a clause, with temporal usage common. Qur'anic examples often use a verb, yawm or hin.

هذَا يَوْمُ يَنْفَعُ اَلصَّادِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ
This is the day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness.
إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
Till the day when they are raised
يَوْمَ وُلِدَ
The day he was born
يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَن سَاقٍ
On the day when [the] leg shall be bared
حِينَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ
When they see the torment

The Qur'an's most important words, ab and akh, have long final vowels as the first element in an idafa construction, originally with a waw as the third radical.

In the Qur'an ab and akh normally occur only with suffixes:
abu-huma, aba-na, abi-kum; akhu-ka, akhd-hum, akht-hi
Three exceptions exist: aba aba ahadin, abi lahabin, and akha addin, which are rare outside the Qur'an, where abu in proper names is widespread.
The dual of ab is أَبَوَانِ ,أَبَوَيْنِ and that of akh is akhawani / akhawayni.
The most awkward noun in this little group is fam, meaning mouth.

The only form found in the Qur'an is fa-hu , though the plural, which is أَفْوَاهٌ.

Occurs in two types of phrases:
  1. Where an adjective is followed by a genitive that restricts its meaning:
وَاسِعُ اَلْمَغْفِرَةِ

سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
swift to the reckoning
شَدِيدُ الْعَذَابِ

  1. Where the genitive comes after the participle of a transitive verb and takes the place of an object in the accusative:
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ اَلْمَوْتِ
every soul will taste death
هَدْيًا بَالِغَ الْكَعْبَةِ
An offering getting to the Ka’ba
مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ
Performing prayer
مُتَّخِذِي أَخْدَانٍ
Taking ‘companions’
Improper genitives modify the meaning of a word, causing it to drop tanwin and take the definite article. In the Qur'an we find:
اَلْمُقِيمِي اَلصَّلَاةِ
those performing prayer
وَالْمُقِيمِينَ الصَّلَاةَ
those performing prayer

Ghayrun is used to mean 'something different from' or 'other than or 'another.
غَيْرُ اَلْإِسْلَامِ

If the second element of the idafa is indefinite, the idafa phrase will have an indefinite adjectival phrase.

Siku ambayo zitawashuhudia ndimi zao na mikono yao na miguu yao kwa waliyo kuwa wakiyatenda.
وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ مَكَانَكُمْ أَنتُمْ وَشُرَكَآؤُكُمْ ۚ فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ وَقَالَ شُرَكَآؤُهُم مَّا كُنتُمْ إِيَّانَا تَعْبُدُونَ
Na siku tutakapo wakusanya wote, kisha tutawaambia walio shirikisha: Simameni mahali penu nyinyi na wale mlio wafanya washirika. Kisha tutawatenga baina yao. Na hao walio washirikisha watasema: Nyinyi hamkuwa mkituabudu sisi.
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱلشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِى كِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ مِنْهَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا۟ فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَـٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ كَآفَّةً كَمَا يُقَـٰتِلُونَكُمْ كَآفَّةً ۚ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
Hakika idadi ya miezi kwa Mwenyezi Mungu ni miezi kumi na mbili katika hukumu ya Mwenyezi Mungu tangu alipo umba mbingu na ardhi. Katika hiyo iko mine mitakatifu. Hiyo ndiyo Dini iliyo sawa. Basi msidhulumu nafsi zenu humo. Na piganeni na washirikina wote kama wao wnavyo pigana nanyi nyote. Na jueni kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu yu pamoja na wachamngu.
يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ
Siku watakapo sikia ukelele wa haki. Hiyo ndiyo siku ya kufufuka.
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
Hiyo ni siku watakayo adhibiwa Motoni.
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ ۚ قَوْلُهُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ وَلَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ عَـٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ
Naye ndiye aliye ziumba mbingu na ardhi kwa Haki. Na anaposema: Kuwa! Basi huwa. Kauli yake ni Haki. Na ufalme wote ni wake Siku litapo pulizwa barugumu, Mjuzi wa yaliyo fichikana na yanayo onekana. Naye ndiye Mwenye hikima na Mwenye khabari.
يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ ٱلْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ
Siku ambayo mtu atamkimbia nduguye,
وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَآءَ مَدْيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةً مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمُ ٱمْرَأَتَيْنِ تَذُودَانِ ۖ قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُمَا ۖ قَالَتَا لَا نَسْقِى حَتَّىٰ يُصْدِرَ ٱلرِّعَآءُ ۖ وَأَبُونَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ
Na alipo yafikia maji ya Madyana alikuta umati wa watu wananywesha (wanyama wao), na akakuta karibu yao wanawake wawili wanawazuia wanyama wao. Akasema: Mna nini? Wakasema: Hatunyweshi sisi mpaka wamalize hao wachunga. Na baba yetu ni mzee sana.
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
Imeangamia mikono ya Abu Lahab, na yeye pia ameangamia.
ٱرْجِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَبِيكُمْ فَقُولُوا۟ يَـٰٓأَبَانَآ إِنَّ ٱبْنَكَ سَرَقَ وَمَا شَهِدْنَآ إِلَّا بِمَا عَلِمْنَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِلْغَيْبِ حَـٰفِظِينَ
Rudini kwa baba yenu, na mwambieni: Ee baba yetu! Mwanao ameiba. Na sisi hatutoi ushahidi ila kwa tunayo yajua. Wala sisi hatukuwa wenye kuhifadhi mambo ya ghaibu.
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ
Alimwambia baba yake na watu wake: Mnaabudu nini?
يَـٰٓأُخْتَ هَـٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا
Ewe dada yake Harun! Baba yako hakuwa mtu muovu, wala mama yako hakuwa kahaba.
وَأَمَّا ٱلْغُلَـٰمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَآ أَن يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَـٰنًا وَكُفْرًا
Na ama yule kijana, wazazi wake walikuwa ni Waumini. Tukakhofu asije watia mashakani kwa uasi na ukafiri.
يَـٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ لَا يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ كَمَآ أَخْرَجَ أَبَوَيْكُم مِّنَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَنزِعُ عَنْهُمَا لِبَاسَهُمَا لِيُرِيَهُمَا سَوْءَٰتِهِمَآ ۗ إِنَّهُۥ يَرَىٰكُمْ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُۥ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا تَرَوْنَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Eny wanaadamu! Asije Shet'ani kukufitinini kama alivyo watoa wazazi wenu Peponi, akawavua nguo zao kuwaonyesha tupu zao. Hakika yeye na kabila yake wanakuoneni, na nyinyi hamuwaoni. Hakika Sisi tumewafanya Mashet'ani kuwa ni marafiki wa wasio amini.
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Alipo waambia ndugu yao, Nuhu: Je! Hamchimngu?
ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَأَخَاهُ هَـٰرُونَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
Kisha tukamtuma Musa na nduguye, Haaruni, pamoja na ishara zetu na hoja zilizo wazi.
قَالَ هَلْ ءَامَنُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا كَمَآ أَمِنتُكُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَخِيهِ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ فَٱللَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَـٰفِظًا ۖ وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
Je, nikuaminini kwa huyu ila kama nilivyo kuaminini kwa nduguye zamani? Lakini Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mbora wa kulinda, naye ndiye Mbora wa kurehemu kuliko wenye kurehemu wote.
إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
Hakika Waumini ni ndugu, basi patanisheni baina ya ndugu zenu, na mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu ili mrehemewe.
ٱلَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَـٰٓئِرَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَٰسِعُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ ۚ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰٓ
Ambao wanajiepusha na madhambi makuu na vitendo vichafu, isipo kuwa makosa khafifu. Hakika Mola wako Mlezi ni Mkunjufu wa maghfira, naye anakujueni sana tangu alipo kuumbeni kutoka kwenye ardhi, na mlipo kuwa mimba matumboni mwa mama zenu. Basi msijisifu usafi. Yeye anamjua sana mwenye kujikinga na maovu.
كَدَأْبِ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِىٌّ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
Kama ada ya watu wa Firauni na walio kuwa kabla yao - walizikataa Ishara za Mwenyezi Mungu. Basi Mwenyezi Mungu aliwashika kwa sababu ya madhambi yao. Na hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu na mkali wa kuadhibu.
لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
Haliwi jua kuufikia mwezi, wala usiku kuupita mchana. Na vyote vinaogelea katika njia zao.
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثْلَ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ فِى غَمَرَٰتِ ٱلْمَوْتِ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ بَاسِطُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمُ ۖ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَكُنتُمْ عَنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Nani dhaalimu mkubwa kuliko yule anaye mzuliya uwongo Mwenyezi Mungu, au anaye sema: Mimi nimeletewa wahyi; na hali hakuletewa wahyi wowote. Na yule anaye sema: Nitateremsha kama alivyo teremsha Mwenyezi Mungu. Na lau ungeli waona madhaalimu wanavyo kuwa katika mahangaiko ya mauti, na Malaika wamewanyooshea mikono wakiwambia: Zitoeni roho zenu! Leo mtalipwa adhabu ya fedheha kwa sababu ya mliyo kuwa mkiyasema juu ya Mwenyezi Mungu yasiyo ya haki, na mlivyo kuwa mkizifanyia kiburi Ishara zake.
ٱلْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
Leo tunaviziba vinywa vyao, na iseme nasi mikono yao, na itoe ushahidi miguu yao kwa waliyo kuwa wakiyachuma.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَدْخُلُوا۟ بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ بُيُوتِكُمْ حَتَّىٰ تَسْتَأْنِسُوا۟ وَتُسَلِّمُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Enyi mlio amini! Msiingie nyumba zisio nyumba zenu mpaka mwombe ruhusa, na mwatolee salamu wenyewe. Hayo ni bora kwenu mpate kukumbuka.
أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْتَغِى حَكَمًا وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ مُفَصَّلًا ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُۥ مُنَزَّلٌ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ
Je, nimtafute hakimu ghairi ya Mwenyezi Mungu, naye ndiye aliye kuteremshieni Kitabu kilicho elezwa waziwazi? Na hao tulio wapa Kitabu wanajua ya kwamba kimeteremshwa na Mola wako Mlezi kwa Haki. Basi usiwe katika wanao tia shaka.
وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍ
Na kwa hakika wewe una malipo yasiyo katika.
وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُ عَلَىَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
Na amani iko juu yangu siku niliyo zaliwa, na siku nitakayo kufa, na siku nitakayo fufuliwa kuwa hai.
