Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is a self-teaching and self-learning aid of the Qur’an based on modern media platforms. It encompasses all essential aspects of Qur’anic knowledge which is obligated to every Muslim. Its usage also extends to the conventional Qur’an schools as an aid to more efficient and richer learning experience. reducing learning cycle, increasing teaching capacity, and enhancing pupils’ knowledge of the Qur’an from just being learning to recite and memorize the Qur’an to understanding the recitation (tajweed) rules, meanings of the Qur’an, and the language of the Qur’an.

Development plan

The website www.mualim-alquran.com is the first stage of the development of Mu’alim Al-Qur’an. This first stage is a web-based solution that is accessible online for free through any internet appliance like a PC/Laptop (Mac or Windows), tablets (Apple or Android) and mobile phones (iPhone or Android). In all the appliances, the screen of this web-based Mu’alim Al-Qur’an adjusts perfectly and automatically to suit the appliance’s resolution.

In the second stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a downloadable mobile application on both iPhone and Android platforms. This mobile app will be accessible offline and will enable users to access all the functionalities and content of the Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need to be online through WiFi or mobile data connectivity.

In the third stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a built-in app in a dedicated branded tablet with all its functionalities and content, thus enabling its accessibility without the need of internet connectivity. Furthermore, the tablet will be equipped with a solar charger which will allow users to access Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need of external electricity supply.

Target Audience

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is primarily intended for non-Arabic speaking Muslims who speak any of the following languages. Swahili, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The application is equally useful in self-teaching and self-learning of the Qur’an for any speakers of these languages.

Scope

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an includes the following six learning modules: (1) Foundation of Arabic alphabets, letters, and words based on standard Qaida Al-Noorania. (2) Recitation of the Qur’an word-by-word and verse-by-verse. (3) Rules of Tajweed in recitation. (4) Memorization of the Qur’an based on the standard memorization methodology of repetition and tracking progress. (5) The meaning of the Qur’an through translations. and (6) Arabic as the language of the Qur’an.

User’s Engagement

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an allows users to access the application for free through the browsers or mobile application in phones or tablets. The users have a choice to use the application anonymously without tracking their progress or by logging in with an email address and a password to keep track of their progress within a particular stage or between stages. The most common way of expressing 'perhaps' in Quran is by using asa.
عَسَى اَللهُ أَنْ يَعْفُوَ عَنْهُمْ
it may be that God will pardon them
عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَن يُهْلِكَ عَدُوَّكُمْ
 perhaps your Lord will destroy your enemy
عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَا أَن يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًا مِّنْهَا
 perhaps our Lord will give us better than this in its place
عَسَىٰ أَن تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا
 perhaps you dislike a thing

Means perhaps at the beginning of the verse and so that at the end.
جَعَلَ لَكُمْ فيهَا سُبُلًا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
 He has put roads in it for you, that you may find the right way.
فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
 Avoid it, so that you may prosper
لِيُنذِرَكُمْ وَلِتَتَّقُوا وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
 That he may warn you and that you may protect yourselves and that you may be given mercy
لَعَلَّ اَلسَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرِيبًا
 perhaps the hour is something near
لَعَلَّهُ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
 Perhaps it is a trial for you, with enjoyment for a time

Na wahukumu baina yao kwa aliyo yateremsha Mwenyezi Mungu, wala usifuate matamanio yao. Nawe tahadhari nao wasije kukufitini ukaacha baadhi ya aliyo kuteremshia Mwenyezi Mungu. Na wakigeuka, basi jua kwamba hakika Mwenyezi Mungu anataka kuwasibu kwa baadhi ya dhambi zao. Na hakika wengi wa watu ni wapotofu.
يَعِظُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَن تَعُودُوا۟ لِمِثْلِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Mwenyezi Mungu anakuonyeni msirejee tena kufanya kama haya kabisa, ikiwa nyinyi ni Waumini!
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَن تَذْبَحُوا۟ بَقَرَةً ۖ قَالُوٓا۟ أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُوًا ۖ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِٱللَّهِ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَ
Na Musa alipo waambia watu wake: Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu anakuamrisheni mchinje ng'ombe. Wakasema: Je! Unatufanyia mzaha? Akasema: Audhubil lahi! Najikinga kwa Mwenyezi Mungu nisiwe miongoni mwa wajinga.
وَأَلْقَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَأَنْهَـٰرًا وَسُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
Na kaweka katika ardhi milima ili ardhi isiyumbe yumbe nanyi. Na mito, na njia ili mpate kuongoka.
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلْفُلْكَ تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَيُمْسِكُ ٱلسَّمَآءَ أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Je! Huoni kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu amevidhalilisha kwenu viliomo katika ardhi, na marikebu zipitazo baharini kwa amri yake, na amezishika mbingu zisianguke juu ya ardhi ila kwa idhini yake. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye huruma kwa watu, Mwenye kurehemu.
أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتِيَهُم بَأْسُنَا بَيَـٰتًا وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ
Je, watu wa mijini wameaminisha ya kuwa adhabu yetu haitawafika usiku, nao wamelala?
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Hakika Sisi tulimtuma Nuh'u kwa watu wake: Uwaonye kaumu yako kabla ya kuwafikia adhabu chungu.
فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
Tulimletea wahyi Musa tukamwambia: Piga bahari kwa fimbo yako. Basi ikatengana, na kila sehemu ikawa kama mlima mkubwa.
وَأَوْحَىٰ رَبُّكَ إِلَى ٱلنَّحْلِ أَنِ ٱتَّخِذِى مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا وَمِنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ وَمِمَّا يَعْرِشُونَ
Na Mola wako Mlezi amemfunulia nyuki: Jitengenezee majumba yako katika milima, na katika miti, na katika wanayo jenga watu.
وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ أَن يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ
Tulimwita: Ewe Ibrahim!
فَتَنَادَوْا۟ مُصْبِحِينَ
Asubuhi wakaitana.
وَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَجَـٰهِدُوا۟ مَعَ رَسُولِهِ ٱسْتَـْٔذَنَكَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلطَّوْلِ مِنْهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ ذَرْنَا نَكُن مَّعَ ٱلْقَـٰعِدِينَ
Na inapo teremshwa Sura isemayo: Muaminini Mwenyezi Mungu na piganeni Jihadi pamoja na Mtume wake, wale wenye nguvu miongoni mwao hukutaka ruhusa na husema: Tuache tuwe pamoja na wanao kaa nyuma!
دَعْوَىٰهُمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَـٰنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَـٰمٌ ۚ وَءَاخِرُ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ أَنِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
Wito wao humo utakuwa: Subhanaka Llahumma "Umetakasika Ee Mwenyezi Mungu!" Na maamkio yao humo ni "Salama". Na mwisho wa wito wao ni: Alhamdulillahi Rabbil A'lamiin "Kuhimidiwa kote ni kwa Mwenyezi Mungu, Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote."
عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
Alikunja kipaji na akageuka,
أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّسْرِفِينَ
Je! Tuache kukukumbusheni kabisa kwa kuwa nyinyi ni watu mlio pita mipaka kwa ukafiri?
وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍ مَّهِينٍ
Wala usimt'ii kila mwingi wa kuapa wa kudharauliwa,
تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلْجِبَالُ هَدًّا
Zinakaribia mbingu kutatuka kwa hilo, na ardhi kupasuka, na milima kuanguka vipande vipande.
ذَٰلِكَ أَن لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَـٰفِلُونَ
Hayo ni kwa sababu ya kuwa Mola wako Mlezi hakuwa wa kuiangamiza miji kwa dhulma, hali wenyewe wameghafilika.
فَلَعَلَّكَ تَارِكٌۢ بَعْضَ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَضَآئِقٌۢ بِهِۦ صَدْرُكَ أَن يَقُولُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ جَآءَ مَعَهُۥ مَلَكٌ ۚ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ نَذِيرٌ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَكِيلٌ
Basi labda utaacha baadhi ya yale yaliyo funuliwa kwako, na kifua kitaona dhiki kwa hayo, kwa sababu wanasema: Mbona hakuteremshiwa khazina, au wakaja naye Malaika? Wewe ni mwonyaji tu, na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mlinzi wa kila kitu.
فَقُلْنَا ٱضْرِبُوهُ بِبَعْضِهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُحْىِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَيُرِيكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
Tukasema: Mpigeni kwa kipande chake (huyo ng'ombe). Ndivyo hivi Mwenyezi Mungu huwahuisha wafu; na anakuonyesheni Ishara zake ili mpate kufahamu.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱبْتَغُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَـٰهِدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
Enyi mlio amini! Mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na tafuteni njia ya kumfikilia. Na wanieni kwa juhudi kwa ajili yake ili mpate kuokoka.
بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ وَٱلزُّبُرِ ۗ وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Kwa Ishara wazi na Vitabu. Nasi tumekuteremshia wewe Ukumbusho ili uwabainishie watu yaliyo teremshwa kwao, wapate kufikiri.
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَـٰهُ قُرْءَٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
Hakika Sisi tumeifanya Qur'ani kwa Kiarabu ili mfahamu.
كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكْرَهُوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تُحِبُّوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
Mmeandikiwa kupigana vita, navyo vinachusha kwenu. Lakini huenda mkachukia kitu nacho ni kheri kwenu. Na huenda mkapenda kitu nacho ni shari kwenu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anajua na nyinyi hamjui.
قَالُوٓا۟ أُوذِينَا مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَأْتِيَنَا وَمِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جِئْتَنَا ۚ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَن يُهْلِكَ عَدُوَّكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ
Wakasema: Tumeudhiwa kabla hujatufikia, na baada ya wewe kutujia! Musa akasema: Huenda Mola wenu Mlezi akamhiliki adui wenu, na akakufanyeni nyinyi ndio wa kufuatia kushika nchi, ili atazame mtavyo kuja tenda nyinyi.
قَالَ بَلْ سَوَّلَتْ لَكُمْ أَنفُسُكُمْ أَمْرًا ۖ فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيلٌ ۖ عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَأْتِيَنِى بِهِمْ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
Akasema: Bali nafsi zenu zimekushawishini kwenye jambo fulani. Subira ni njema! Asaa Mwenyezi Mungu akaniletea wote pamoja. Hakika Yeye ni Mjuzi Mwenye hikima.
وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّى شَقِيًّا
Nami najitenga nanyi na hayo mnayo yaabudu badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na ninamwomba Mola wangu Mlezi; asaa nisiwe mwenye kukosa bahati kwa kumwomba Mola wangu Mlezi.
