Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is a self-teaching and self-learning aid of the Qur’an based on modern media platforms. It encompasses all essential aspects of Qur’anic knowledge which is obligated to every Muslim. Its usage also extends to the conventional Qur’an schools as an aid to more efficient and richer learning experience. reducing learning cycle, increasing teaching capacity, and enhancing pupils’ knowledge of the Qur’an from just being learning to recite and memorize the Qur’an to understanding the recitation (tajweed) rules, meanings of the Qur’an, and the language of the Qur’an.

Development plan

The website www.mualim-alquran.com is the first stage of the development of Mu’alim Al-Qur’an. This first stage is a web-based solution that is accessible online for free through any internet appliance like a PC/Laptop (Mac or Windows), tablets (Apple or Android) and mobile phones (iPhone or Android). In all the appliances, the screen of this web-based Mu’alim Al-Qur’an adjusts perfectly and automatically to suit the appliance’s resolution.

In the second stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a downloadable mobile application on both iPhone and Android platforms. This mobile app will be accessible offline and will enable users to access all the functionalities and content of the Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need to be online through WiFi or mobile data connectivity.

In the third stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a built-in app in a dedicated branded tablet with all its functionalities and content, thus enabling its accessibility without the need of internet connectivity. Furthermore, the tablet will be equipped with a solar charger which will allow users to access Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need of external electricity supply.

Target Audience

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is primarily intended for non-Arabic speaking Muslims who speak any of the following languages. Swahili, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The application is equally useful in self-teaching and self-learning of the Qur’an for any speakers of these languages.

Scope

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an includes the following six learning modules: (1) Foundation of Arabic alphabets, letters, and words based on standard Qaida Al-Noorania. (2) Recitation of the Qur’an word-by-word and verse-by-verse. (3) Rules of Tajweed in recitation. (4) Memorization of the Qur’an based on the standard memorization methodology of repetition and tracking progress. (5) The meaning of the Qur’an through translations. and (6) Arabic as the language of the Qur’an.

User’s Engagement

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an allows users to access the application for free through the browsers or mobile application in phones or tablets. The users have a choice to use the application anonymously without tracking their progress or by logging in with an email address and a password to keep track of their progress within a particular stage or between stages. Interrogatives

Interrogative particles ha and a- introduce questions, preceding wa- or fa-.
أَلَهُمْ أَرْجُلٌ
 Do they have feet?
فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ
Is there sickness in their hearts?
هَلْ أَنتُمْ شَاكِرُونَ
 Are you grateful?
هَلْ أَتَّبِعُكَ
 Shall I follow you?
أَفَلَا تَسمَعُونَ
 Will you not hear?
أَوَلَا يَعْلَمُونَ
 Do they not know?
Note that a-la may be a negative and interrogative combined:
أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
 will you not eat?
or it may have the extended meaning 'indeed':
أَلَا لِلهِ اَلدِينُ اَلْخَالِصُ
 God indeed has the pure religion
Context determines meaning; a-la followed by inna always means 'indeed'.
am 'or introduces alternative in interrogative questions, used only in Qur'an sentences.

Qur'an uses ayna without min or ila for 'whence' and 'whither'.

أَنىٰ يبصِرُونَ
 how [can] they see?

Interrogative ma is prominent in the early Meccan suras phrase ma adraka.
Add dhd to ma for ma-dhd interrogative meaning.
مَاذَا يُنْفِقُونَ
 what do they spend?
مَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
 what do you order?
li-ma 'why?'
لِمَ تَلْبِسُونَ اَلْحَقَّ بِاَلْبَاطِلِ
 Why do you confound the truth with falsehood?
لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ
 Why do you not believe in god’s signs?
Qur'an uses shortened interrogative -ma with prepositions bima and fima. man, 'who?'
مَنْ رَبُّكُمَا
who is the lord of the two of you?
مَن يَنصُرُنِي
 who will help me?
man-dha in the Qur'an is an interrogative meaning, found in a set phrase. kam, 'how many?'
kam is an interrogative, sometimes suppressed.
كَمْ لَبِثْتَ
 how long did you linger?
kam is used exclamatory, followed by min and genitive, and rare ka'ayyin. ayyun 'which?'
Qur'an uses ayy as genitive, masculine noun regardless of gender.
أَيُّ شَيْء
 what thing?
أَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ
which of the two parties?
فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ
 In what form?
أَيَّ آياتِ اللَّهِ
 Which of god’s signs?

Na watu wake wakamhoji. Akasema: Je, mnanihoji juu ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na hali Yeye ameniongoa? Wala siogopi hao mnao washirikisha naye, ila Mola wangu Mlezi akipenda kitu. Mola wangu Mlezi amekusanya ilimu ya kila kitu. Basi je, hamkumbuki?
قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
Akasema (Sulaiman): Tutatazama umesema kweli au wewe ni miongoni mwa waongo.
أَفَنَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ كَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
Kwani tutawafanya Waislamu kama wakosefu?
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
Na wanasema: Lini ahadi hii, ikiwa mnasema kweli?
أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ
Nini faida ya kukumbuka kwao? Na alikwisha wafikia Mtume mwenye kubainisha.
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ
Na wale wa mkono wa kulia, ni yepi yatakuwa ya wa kuliani?
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Na nini kitakacho kujuulisha Siku ya Malipo ni siku gani?
وَنَادَىٰٓ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلنَّارِ أَن قَدْ وَجَدْنَا مَا وَعَدَنَا رَبُّنَا حَقًّا فَهَلْ وَجَدتُّم مَّا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا ۖ قَالُوا۟ نَعَمْ ۚ فَأَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌۢ بَيْنَهُمْ أَن لَّعْنَةُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
Na watu wa Peponi watawanadia watu wa Motoni: Sisi tumekuta aliyo tuahidi Mola wetu Mlezi kuwa ni kweli. Je, na nyinyi pia mmekuta aliyo kuahidini Mola wenu Mlezi kuwa ni kweli? Watasema: Ndiyo! Basi mtangazaji atawatangazia: Laana ya Mwenyezi Mungu iwapate walio dhulumu,
سَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكْنَا وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِن شَىْءٍ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ ذَاقُوا۟ بَأْسَنَا ۗ قُلْ هَلْ عِندَكُم مِّنْ عِلْمٍ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَآ ۖ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَخْرُصُونَ
Watasema walio shirikisha: Lau kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu ange taka tusingeli shiriki sisi, wala baba zetu; wala tusingeli harimisha kitu chochote. Vivi hivi walikanusha walio kuwa kabla yao mpaka walipo onja adhabu yetu. Sema: Je, nyinyi mnayo ilimu mtutolee? Nyinyi hamfuati ila dhana. Wala hamsemi ila uwongo tu.
أَوَلَا يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
Hawajui ya kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu anayajua wanayo yaficha na wanayo yatangaza?
وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِذْ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟ أَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ بَشَرًا رَّسُولًا
Na nini kilicho wazuilia watu kuamini ulipo wajia uwongofu isipo kuwa walisema: Je! Mwenyezi Mungu humtuma mwanaadamu kuwa ni Mtume?
ثُمَّ رُدُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَوْلَىٰهُمُ ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ أَلَا لَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ ٱلْحَـٰسِبِينَ
Kisha watarudishwa kwa Mwenyezi Mungu, Mola wao wa Haki. Hakika, hukumu ni yake. Naye ni Mwepesi kuliko wote wanao hisabu.
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَـٰكُمْ خَلَـٰٓئِفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لِنَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ
Kisha tukakufanyeni nyiye ndio wenye kushika mahala pao baada yao katika ardhi ili tuone jinsi mtakavyo tenda.
يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لِمَ تُحَآجُّونَ فِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَتِ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ وَٱلْإِنجِيلُ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Enyi Watu wa Kitabu! Mbona mnabishana juu ya Ibrahim, na hali Taurati na Injili hazikuteremshwa ila baada yake? Basi hamzingatii?
قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِى عَلَىٰٓ أَن مَّسَّنِىَ ٱلْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
Akasema: Mnanibashiria nami uzee umenishika! Basi kwa njia gani mnanibashiria?
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُو قَالَ أَكَذَّبْتُم بِـَٔايَـٰتِى وَلَمْ تُحِيطُوا۟ بِهَا عِلْمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Hata watakapo fika, atasema (Mwenyezi Mungu): Je! Nyinyi si mlizikanusha Ishara zangu pasipo kuzijua vyema? Au mlikuwa mkifanya nini?
أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّعِيشَتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَـٰتٍ لِّيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا سُخْرِيًّا ۗ وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
Kwani wao ndio wanao gawa rehema za Mola wako Mlezi? Sisi tumewagawanyia baina yao maisha yao katika uhai wa duniani, na tukawanyanyua baadhi yao juu ya wengine kwa daraja nyingi; kwa hivyo baadhi yao wanawafanya wenginewe wawatumikie. Na rehema za Mwenyezi Mungu ni bora kuliko hayo wanayo yakusanya.
قَالَ هَلْ عَلِمْتُم مَّا فَعَلْتُم بِيُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ إِذْ أَنتُمْ جَـٰهِلُونَ
Akasema: Je! Mmejua mliyo mfanyia Yusuf na nduguye mlipo kuwa wajinga?
وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ غَضْبَـٰنَ أَسِفًا قَالَ بِئْسَمَا خَلَفْتُمُونِى مِنۢ بَعْدِىٓ ۖ أَعَجِلْتُمْ أَمْرَ رَبِّكُمْ ۖ وَأَلْقَى ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيهِ يَجُرُّهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِ ۚ قَالَ ٱبْنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱسْتَضْعَفُونِى وَكَادُوا۟ يَقْتُلُونَنِى فَلَا تُشْمِتْ بِىَ ٱلْأَعْدَآءَ وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِى مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
Na alipo rudi Musa kwa watu wake, naye amekasirika na kuhuzunika, alisema: Ni maovu yalioje mlio nifanyia nyuma yangu! Je, mmeitangulia amri ya Mola wenu Mlezi? Na akaziweka chini zile mbao, na akamkamata kichwa ndugu yake akimvutia kwake. (Haarun) akasema: Ewe mwana wa mama yangu! Hakika hawa watu wamenidharau, na wakakaribia kuniuwa. Basi usiwafurahishe maadui juu yangu, wala usinifanye pamoja na watu madhaalimu.
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
Basi, je, wanaihimiza adhabu yetu?
قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
Akasema: Je! Yanakusikieni mnapo yaita?
وَسَكَنتُمْ فِى مَسَـٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ كَيْفَ فَعَلْنَا بِهِمْ وَضَرَبْنَا لَكُمُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ
Na mkakaa katika maskani zile zile za walio zidhulumu nafsi zao. Na ikakudhihirikieni jinsi tulivyo watendea. Nasi tukakupigieni mifano mingi.
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ
Je! Sisi hatutakufa,
فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ بِعِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَن لَّآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
Na wasipo kuitikieni, basi jueni ya kwamba (hii Qur'ani) imeteremshwa kwa ujuzi wa Mwenyezi Mungu, na kwamba hapana mungu ila Yeye. Basi je! Nyinyi ni Waislamu?
فَٱعْبُدُوا۟ مَا شِئْتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗ أَلَا ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْخُسْرَانُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
Basi nyinyi abuduni mpendacho badala yake Yeye. Sema: Hakika walio khasirika ni wale walio jikhasiri nafsi zao na ahali zao Siku ya Kiyama. Tambueni kuwa hiyo ndiyo khasara iliyo dhaahiri.
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
Na nini kitacho kujuilisha nini Inayo gonga?
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
Na wapo miongoni mwao wanao kusikiliza. Je, wewe unaweza kuwafanya viziwi wasikie ijapo kuwa hawafahamu?
وَكَيْفَ تَأْخُذُونَهُۥ وَقَدْ أَفْضَىٰ بَعْضُكُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ وَأَخَذْنَ مِنكُم مِّيثَـٰقًا غَلِيظًا
Na mtachukuaje na ilhali mmekwisha ingiliana nyinyi kwa nyinyi, na wao wanawake wamechukua kwenu ahadi iliyo madhubuti?
أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا أَنْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَنْ أَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ قَالَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Je! Imekuwa ajabu kwa watu kwamba tumemfunulia mmoja wao kuwa: Waonye watu, na wabashirie wale walio amini ya kuwa watakuwa na cheo cha juu kwa Mola wao Mlezi? Wakasema makafiri: Hakika huyu ni mchawi dhaahiri!
أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ
Je! Hawamtazami ngamia jinsi alivyo umbwa?
