Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is a self-teaching and self-learning aid of the Qur’an based on modern media platforms. It encompasses all essential aspects of Qur’anic knowledge which is obligated to every Muslim. Its usage also extends to the conventional Qur’an schools as an aid to more efficient and richer learning experience. reducing learning cycle, increasing teaching capacity, and enhancing pupils’ knowledge of the Qur’an from just being learning to recite and memorize the Qur’an to understanding the recitation (tajweed) rules, meanings of the Qur’an, and the language of the Qur’an.

Development plan

The website www.mualim-alquran.com is the first stage of the development of Mu’alim Al-Qur’an. This first stage is a web-based solution that is accessible online for free through any internet appliance like a PC/Laptop (Mac or Windows), tablets (Apple or Android) and mobile phones (iPhone or Android). In all the appliances, the screen of this web-based Mu’alim Al-Qur’an adjusts perfectly and automatically to suit the appliance’s resolution.

In the second stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a downloadable mobile application on both iPhone and Android platforms. This mobile app will be accessible offline and will enable users to access all the functionalities and content of the Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need to be online through WiFi or mobile data connectivity.

In the third stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a built-in app in a dedicated branded tablet with all its functionalities and content, thus enabling its accessibility without the need of internet connectivity. Furthermore, the tablet will be equipped with a solar charger which will allow users to access Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need of external electricity supply.

Target Audience

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is primarily intended for non-Arabic speaking Muslims who speak any of the following languages. Swahili, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The application is equally useful in self-teaching and self-learning of the Qur’an for any speakers of these languages.

Scope

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an includes the following six learning modules: (1) Foundation of Arabic alphabets, letters, and words based on standard Qaida Al-Noorania. (2) Recitation of the Qur’an word-by-word and verse-by-verse. (3) Rules of Tajweed in recitation. (4) Memorization of the Qur’an based on the standard memorization methodology of repetition and tracking progress. (5) The meaning of the Qur’an through translations. and (6) Arabic as the language of the Qur’an.

User’s Engagement

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an allows users to access the application for free through the browsers or mobile application in phones or tablets. The users have a choice to use the application anonymously without tracking their progress or by logging in with an email address and a password to keep track of their progress within a particular stage or between stages. Hollow Verbs

Hollow verbs have waw or ya as their middle radical and are divided into three distinct types.
  1. The original vowel pattern of kataba was utilized in the middle radical of the word.
  2. The original vowel pattern of kataba was used in the middle radical of those with a ya.
  3. The original vowel pattern of shariba is irrelevant, as it can only appear in the masdar.

The introduction of the first type in Arabic is attributed to the significance of qala and kana, the two most common verbs.
Type 2 Arabic employs kasra to replace damma in contracted forms and an i to replace u in imperfect tenses.
Learning a table is more effective than applying substitution rules.

Four derived forms (2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th) function as sound verbs with waw or ya as an ordinary radical, while the remaining four have hollow forms for all three types.
Perfect:
The Perfect vowel is shortened for all four forms (4th, 7th, 8th, and 10th), with the vowel before the third radical being a fatha like أَرَدْتُمْ.
Imperfect etc.:
The imperfect tenses, masdars, and participles have pairs of forms, with the 4th and 10th forms changing, and the 7th and 8th forms changing.
The Imperfects, masdars, and Qur'an all share similar forms, with the Qur'an having the form إِقَامَةٌ instead of the normal أَقَامَ.
The participles are clearly differentiated:
active: مُجِيبٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ
Hollow verbs, such as kana and qala, are doubly defective with hamza as final radical, with جَاءَ, شَاءَ, and سَاءَ being the most common.

وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَرْضِعِيهِ ۖ فَإِذَا خِفْتِ عَلَيْهِ فَأَلْقِيهِ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَلَا تَخَافِى وَلَا تَحْزَنِىٓ ۖ إِنَّا رَآدُّوهُ إِلَيْكِ وَجَاعِلُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Tulimfunulia mama yake Musa kwa kumwambia: Mnyonyeshe. Na utakapo mkhofia basi mtie mtoni, na usikhofu wala usihuzunike. Hakika Sisi tutamrudisha kwako na tutamfanya miongoni mwa Mitume.
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوٓا۟ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَءَاثَارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَمَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
Kwani hawatembei katika ardhi wakaona ulikuwaje mwisho wa walio kuwa kabla yao? Wao walikuwa wengi kuliko hawa, na wamewashinda kwa nguvu na athari katika nchi. Wala hayakuwafaa hayo waliyo kuwa wakiyachuma.
إِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا
Hakika hiyo ni kituo na makao mabaya.
أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
Mwenyezi Mungu amewaandalia adhabu kali. Kwa hakika waliyo kuwa wakiyatenda ni maovu kabisa.
وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
Wala hamwezi kutaka ila atakapo Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye ilimu, Mwenye hikima.
وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَتَبَوَّأُ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ يَشَآءُ ۚ نُصِيبُ بِرَحْمَتِنَا مَن نَّشَآءُ ۖ وَلَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Basi namna hivi tukampa Yusuf cheo katika nchi; anakaa humo popote anapo penda. Tunamfikishia rehema zetu tumtakaye, wala hatupuuzi malipo ya wafanyao mema.
وَجَآءَ ٱلْمُعَذِّرُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ لِيُؤْذَنَ لَهُمْ وَقَعَدَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ ۚ سَيُصِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Na walikuja wenye kutoa udhuru katika Mabedui ili wapewe ruhusa, na wakakaa wale walio mwambia Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake uwongo. Itawafika walio kufuru katika wao adhabu chungu.
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِمَا كَذَّبُوا۟ بِهِۦ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ
Kisha baada yake tukawatuma Mitume kwa watu wao. Nao wakawajia kwa Ishara zilizo wazi. Lakini hawakuwa wenye kuyaamini waliyo yakanusha kabla yake. Ndio kama hivyo tunapiga muhuri juu ya nyoyo za warukao mipaka.
قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ ٱللَّهَ وَحْدَهُۥ وَنَذَرَ مَا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا ۖ فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
Wakasema: Je! Umetujia ili tumuabudu Mwenyezi Mungu peke yake, na tuyaache waliyo kuwa wakiyaabudu baba zetu? Basi tuletee hayo unayo tuahidi, ukiwa miongoni mwa wasemao kweli.
فَلَمَّآ أَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَبْطِشَ بِٱلَّذِى هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَّهُمَا قَالَ يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ أَتُرِيدُ أَن تَقْتُلَنِى كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسًۢا بِٱلْأَمْسِ ۖ إِن تُرِيدُ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ جَبَّارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُصْلِحِينَ
Basi alipo taka kumshika kwa nguvu yule aliye adui wao wote wawili, akasema: Ewe Musa! Unataka kuniuwa kama ulivyo muuwa mtu jana? Wewe hutaki ila kuwa jabari katika nchi, wala hutaki kuwa miongoni mwa wenye maslaha..
فَأَعْرِضْ عَن مَّن تَوَلَّىٰ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
Basi mwachilie mbali anaye upa kisogo ukumbusho wetu, na wala hataki ila maisha ya dunia.
فَأَرَدْنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرًا مِّنْهُ زَكَوٰةً وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْمًا
Basi tulitaka Mola wao Mlezi awabadilishie aliye bora zaidi kuliko huyo kwa kutakasika, na aliye karibu zaidi kwa huruma.
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ مُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۘ يُضَـٰعَفُ لَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۚ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يُبْصِرُونَ
Hao hawawezi kushinda katika ardhi, wala hawana walinzi isipo kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Watazidishiwa adhabu. Hawakuwa wakiweza kusikia wala hawakuwa wakiona.
ءَامَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ ۚ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
Mtume ameamini yaliyo teremshwa kwake kutoka kwa Mola Mlezi wake, na Waumini vile vile. Wote wamemuamini Mwenyezi Mungu, na Malaika wake, na Vitabu vyake na Mitume wake. Hatutafautishi baina ya yeyote katika Mitume wake, na (Waumini) husema: Tumesikia na tumet'ii. Tunakutaka maghfira Mola Mlezi wetu! Na marejeo ni kwako.
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا۟ مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِى بَعْضِ ٱلْأَمْرِ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ
Hayo ni kwa sababu waliwaambia walio chukia aliyo yateremsha Mwenyezi Mungu: Tutakut'iini katika baadhi ya mambo. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anajua siri zao.
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ أَن تَقُومَ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ ۚ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ إِذَآ أَنتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ
Na katika Ishara zake ni kuwa mbingu na ardhi zimesimama kwa amri yake. Kisha atakapo kuiteni mwito mmoja tu, hapo mtatoka kwenye ardhi.
وَإِذَا كُنتَ فِيهِمْ فَأَقَمْتَ لَهُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ فَلْتَقُمْ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنْهُم مَّعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُوٓا۟ أَسْلِحَتَهُمْ فَإِذَا سَجَدُوا۟ فَلْيَكُونُوا۟ مِن وَرَآئِكُمْ وَلْتَأْتِ طَآئِفَةٌ أُخْرَىٰ لَمْ يُصَلُّوا۟ فَلْيُصَلُّوا۟ مَعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُوا۟ حِذْرَهُمْ وَأَسْلِحَتَهُمْ ۗ وَدَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْ تَغْفُلُونَ عَنْ أَسْلِحَتِكُمْ وَأَمْتِعَتِكُمْ فَيَمِيلُونَ عَلَيْكُم مَّيْلَةً وَٰحِدَةً ۚ وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِن كَانَ بِكُمْ أَذًى مِّن مَّطَرٍ أَوْ كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَن تَضَعُوٓا۟ أَسْلِحَتَكُمْ ۖ وَخُذُوا۟ حِذْرَكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَعَدَّ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُّهِينًا
Na unapo kuwa pamoja nao, ukawasalisha, basi kundi moja miongoni mwao wasimame pamoja nawe na wachukue silaha zao. Na watakapo maliza sijida zao, basi nawende nyuma yenu, na lije kundi jingine ambalo halijasali, lisali pamoja nawe. Nao wachukue hadhari yao na silaha zao. Walio kufuru wanapenda mghafilike na silaha zenu na vifaa vyenu ili wakuvamieni mvamio wa mara moja. Wala si vibaya kwenu ikiwa mnaona udhia kwa sababu ya mvua au mkawa wagonjwa, mkaziweka silaha zenu. Na chukueni hadhari yenu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu amewaandalia makafiri adhabu ya kudhalilisha.
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَآئِهِۦ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ وَزْنًا
Hao ni wale walio zikanusha Ishara za Mola wao Mlezi na kukutana naye. Kwa hivyo vitendo vyao vimepotea bure, na wala Siku ya Kiyama hatutawathamini kitu.
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا
Hawataonja humo chochote kibaridi wala kinywaji,
فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا
Basi ikauonja ubaya wa mambo yake; na mwisho wa mambo yao ilikuwa khasara.
وَيَسْتَجِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦ ۚ وَٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ
Na anawaitikia wanao amini na wakatenda mema, na anawazidishia fadhila zake. Na makafiri watakuwa na adhabu chungu.
فَٱسْتَجَابَ لَهُۥ رَبُّهُۥ فَصَرَفَ عَنْهُ كَيْدَهُنَّ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
Basi Mola wake Mlezi akamwitikia, na akamwondoshea vitimbi vyao. Hakika Yeye ni Msikizi Mjuzi.
وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أَجَبْتُمُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Na siku atapo waita na akasema: Mliwajibu nini Mitume?
فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِۦ وَجِئْتُكَ مِن سَبَإٍۭ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ
Basi (Hud-hud) akakaa si mbali na akasema: Nimegundua usilo gundua wewe, na ninakujia hivi kutoka nchi ya Sabai, na nakuletea khabari za yakini.
