Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is a self-teaching and self-learning aid of the Qur’an based on modern media platforms. It encompasses all essential aspects of Qur’anic knowledge which is obligated to every Muslim. Its usage also extends to the conventional Qur’an schools as an aid to more efficient and richer learning experience. reducing learning cycle, increasing teaching capacity, and enhancing pupils’ knowledge of the Qur’an from just being learning to recite and memorize the Qur’an to understanding the recitation (tajweed) rules, meanings of the Qur’an, and the language of the Qur’an.

Development plan

The website www.mualim-alquran.com is the first stage of the development of Mu’alim Al-Qur’an. This first stage is a web-based solution that is accessible online for free through any internet appliance like a PC/Laptop (Mac or Windows), tablets (Apple or Android) and mobile phones (iPhone or Android). In all the appliances, the screen of this web-based Mu’alim Al-Qur’an adjusts perfectly and automatically to suit the appliance’s resolution.

In the second stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a downloadable mobile application on both iPhone and Android platforms. This mobile app will be accessible offline and will enable users to access all the functionalities and content of the Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need to be online through WiFi or mobile data connectivity.

In the third stage Mu’alim Al-Qur’an will be developed to a built-in app in a dedicated branded tablet with all its functionalities and content, thus enabling its accessibility without the need of internet connectivity. Furthermore, the tablet will be equipped with a solar charger which will allow users to access Mu’alim Al-Qur’an without the need of external electricity supply.

Target Audience

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an is primarily intended for non-Arabic speaking Muslims who speak any of the following languages. Swahili, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The application is equally useful in self-teaching and self-learning of the Qur’an for any speakers of these languages.

Scope

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an includes the following six learning modules: (1) Foundation of Arabic alphabets, letters, and words based on standard Qaida Al-Noorania. (2) Recitation of the Qur’an word-by-word and verse-by-verse. (3) Rules of Tajweed in recitation. (4) Memorization of the Qur’an based on the standard memorization methodology of repetition and tracking progress. (5) The meaning of the Qur’an through translations. and (6) Arabic as the language of the Qur’an.

User’s Engagement

Mu’alim Al-Qur’an allows users to access the application for free through the browsers or mobile application in phones or tablets. The users have a choice to use the application anonymously without tracking their progress or by logging in with an email address and a password to keep track of their progress within a particular stage or between stages. ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ هُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ

وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌ
Na alipo tangaza Mola wenu Mlezi: Mkishukuru nitakuzidishieni; na mkikufuru, basi adhabu yangu ni kali.
وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى رَحِيمٌ وَدُودٌ
Na ombeni msamaha kwa Mola wenu Mlezi, tena tubuni kwake. Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi ni Mwenye kurehemu na Mwenye upendo.
وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَـٰلِحًا ۚ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ ۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا فَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى قَرِيبٌ مُّجِيبٌ
Na kina Thamud tuliwapelekea ndugu yao Saleh. Akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Muabuduni Mwenyezi Mungu. Nyinyi hamna Mungu ila Yeye. Yeye ndiye aliye kuumbeni katika ardhi, na akakuwekeni humo. Basi mwombeni msamaha, kisha mtubu kwake. Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi yupo karibu, anaitikia maombi.
إِنَّ وَلِـِّۧىَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۖ وَهُوَ يَتَوَلَّى ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
Hakika Mlinzi wangu ni Mwenyezi Mungu aliye teremsha Kitabu. Naye ndiye awalindae walio wema.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۗ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mola wangu Mlezi na ni Mola wenu Mlezi. Basi muabudni Yeye. Hii ndiyo Njia Iliyo Nyooka.
وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ رَّبَّهُۥ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ٱبْنِى مِنْ أَهْلِى وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنتَ أَحْكَمُ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ
Na Nuhu alimwomba Mola wake Mlezi: Ee Mola Mlezi wangu! Hakika mwanangu ni katika ahali zangu, na hakika ahadi yako ni haki. Na Wewe ni Mwenye haki kuliko mahakimu wote.
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِى هُوَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ٱلْأَلِيمُ
Na kwamba adhabu yangu ndio adhabu iliyo chungu!
قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ
(Musa) akasema: Hasha! Hakika yu pamoja nami Mola wangu Mlezi. Yeye ataniongoa!
وَرَفَعَ أَبَوَيْهِ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ وَخَرُّوا۟ لَهُۥ سُجَّدًا ۖ وَقَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ هَـٰذَا تَأْوِيلُ رُءْيَـٰىَ مِن قَبْلُ قَدْ جَعَلَهَا رَبِّى حَقًّا ۖ وَقَدْ أَحْسَنَ بِىٓ إِذْ أَخْرَجَنِى مِنَ ٱلسِّجْنِ وَجَآءَ بِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْبَدْوِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَن نَّزَغَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَ إِخْوَتِىٓ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَطِيفٌ لِّمَا يَشَآءُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
Na akawapandisha wazazi wake kwenye kiti cha enzi. Na wote wakaporomoka kumsujudia. Na akasema: Ewe baba yangu! Hii ndiyo tafsiri ya ile ndoto yangu ya zamani. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ameijaalia iwe kweli. Na Mwenyezi Mungu amenifanyia wema kunitoa gerezani, na kukuleteni kutoka jangwani baada ya Shet'ani kuchochea baina yangu na ndugu zangu. Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi ni Mpole kwa alitakalo. Bila ya shaka Yeye ni Mjuzi Mwenye hikima.
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَـٰشِفَـٰتُ ضُرِّهِۦٓ أَوْ أَرَادَنِى بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَـٰتُ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ قُلْ حَسْبِىَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
Na ukiwauliza: Ni nani aliye ziumba mbingu na ardhi. Bila ya shaka watasema: Mwenyezi Mungu. Sema: Je! Mnawaonaje wale mnao waomba badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu, ikiwa Mwenyezi Mungu akitaka kunidhuru, wao wanaweza kuniondolea dhara yake? Au akitaka kunirehemu, je, wao wanaweza kuzuia rehema yake? Sema: Mwenyezi Mungu ananitosheleza. Kwake Yeye wategemee wanao tegemea.
وَلَن تَرْضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ ۗ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَآءَهُم بَعْدَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ ۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
Mayahudi hawawi radhi nawe, wala Wakristo, mpaka ufuate mila yao. Sema: Hakika uwongofu wa Mwenyezi Mungu ndio uwongofu. Na kama ukifuata matamanio yao baada ya ujuzi ulio kwisha kujia, hutapata mlinzi wala msaidizi kwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ يُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Hayo ni kwa sababu hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Haki, na kwamba hakika Yeye ndiye mwenye kuhuisha wafu, na kwamba hakika Yeye ni Muweza wa kila kitu.
وَرَفَعَ أَبَوَيْهِ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ وَخَرُّوا۟ لَهُۥ سُجَّدًا ۖ وَقَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ هَـٰذَا تَأْوِيلُ رُءْيَـٰىَ مِن قَبْلُ قَدْ جَعَلَهَا رَبِّى حَقًّا ۖ وَقَدْ أَحْسَنَ بِىٓ إِذْ أَخْرَجَنِى مِنَ ٱلسِّجْنِ وَجَآءَ بِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْبَدْوِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَن نَّزَغَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَ إِخْوَتِىٓ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَطِيفٌ لِّمَا يَشَآءُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

لَّـٰكِنَّا۠ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ رَبِّى وَلَآ أُشْرِكُ بِرَبِّىٓ أَحَدًا
Lakini Yeye Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mola wangu Mlezi. Wala simshirikishi na yeyote.
قَالَ هِىَ عَصَاىَ أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِى وَلِىَ فِيهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخْرَىٰ
Akasema: Hii ni fimbo yangu; naiegemea na ninawaangushia majani kondoo na mbuzi wangu. Tena inanifaa kwa matumizi mengine.
وَٱللَّهُ يَقْضِى بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ لَا يَقْضُونَ بِشَىْءٍ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ
Na Mwenyezi Mungu huhukumu kwa haki; lakini hao wanao waomba badala yake hawahukumu chochote. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mwenye kusikia Mwenye kuona.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
Kwa hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mola wangu Mlezi, na ni Mola wenu Mlezi. Basi Muabuduni Yeye tu. Hii ndiyo Njia Iliyo Nyooka.
كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَأَغْلِبَنَّ أَنَا۠ وَرُسُلِىٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌ
Mwenyezi Mungu ameandika: Hapana shaka Mimi na Mtume wangu tutashinda. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye kushinda.
وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقًا يَلْوُۥنَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
Na wapo baadhi yao wanao pindua ndimi zao katika kusoma Kitabu ili mdhanie kuwa hayo yanatoka Kitabuni, na wala hayatoki Kitabuni. Na husema: Haya yametoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na wala hayatoki kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na wanamsingizia Mwenyezi Mungu uwongo na wao wanajua.
قُلْ هُوَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
Sema: Yeye ndiye Mwingi wa Rehema; tunamuamini Yeye, na juu yake tunategemea. Mtakuja jua ni nani aliye katika upotovu ulio dhaahiri.
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌ
Na alipo tangaza Mola wenu Mlezi: Mkishukuru nitakuzidishieni; na mkikufuru, basi adhabu yangu ni kali.
مَّثَلُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۖ فِيهَآ أَنْهَـٰرٌ مِّن مَّآءٍ غَيْرِ ءَاسِنٍ وَأَنْهَـٰرٌ مِّن لَّبَنٍ لَّمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُۥ وَأَنْهَـٰرٌ مِّنْ خَمْرٍ لَّذَّةٍ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ وَأَنْهَـٰرٌ مِّنْ عَسَلٍ مُّصَفًّى ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ كَمَنْ هُوَ خَـٰلِدٌ فِى ٱلنَّارِ وَسُقُوا۟ مَآءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَآءَهُمْ
Mfano wa Pepo walio ahidiwa wachamngu ina mito ya maji yasiyo vunda, na mito ya maziwa isiyo haribika ladha yake, na mito ya mvinyo yenye ladha kwa wanywao, na mito ya asali iliyo safishwa. Na wao humo watakuwa na kila namna ya matunda, na maghfira kutoka kwa Mola wao Mlezi. Basi hao ni kama watakao dumu Motoni na wakinyweshwa maji yanayo chemka ya kuwakata matumbo yao?
هُوَ ٱلْأَوَّلُ وَٱلْـَٔاخِرُ وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ وَٱلْبَاطِنُ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
Yeye ndiye wa Mwanzo na ndiye wa Mwisho, naye ndiye wa Dhaahiri na wa Siri, naye ndiye Mjuzi wa kila kitu.
وَجَـٰوَزْنَا بِبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلْبَحْرَ فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ بَغْيًا وَعَدْوًا ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَدْرَكَهُ ٱلْغَرَقُ قَالَ ءَامَنتُ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنَتْ بِهِۦ بَنُوٓا۟ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
Tukawavusha bahari Wana wa Israili, na Firauni na askari wake wakawafuatia kwa dhulma na uadui. Hata Firauni alipo kuwa anataka kuzama akasema: Naamini kuwa hapana mungu ila yule waliye muamini Wana wa Israili, na mimi ni miongoni mwa walio nyenyekea!
وَيَـٰقَوْمِ لَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالًا ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّهُم مُّلَـٰقُوا۟ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَـٰكِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُونَ
Na enyi watu wangu! Mimi sikuombeni mali kwa ajili ya haya. Mimi sina ujira ila kwa Mwenyezi Mungu; na mimi sitawafukuza walio amini. Hakika wao watakutana na Mola wao Mlezi, lakini mimi nakuoneni mnafanya ujinga.
